My Online Business Education Review, a Change in Identity?

In the past┬áMy Online Business Education(MOBE) was actually known as My Online Business Empire. You may wonder, what was the reason for the name change. Honestly, I also don’t know. But from what I have seen, rebranding is actually quite common these days. Most of the time when someone agrees to rebrand their company/organization, they have agreed to begin a fresh start.

Of course, if your company is already highly reputable and many lots of profits there is no reason for you to rebrand because it is only going to affect your own business. From the looks of it, MOBE seems to have quite a bad reputation in this industry which might have been the main reason why they were forced to change their identity.

I guess you are probably reading this review on MOBE to know whether it is a scam┬ábecause you might have come across someone promoting┬áit or you accidentally stumbled across yourself and unsure whether you want to give it a try. Don’t worry, by the end of this review you will have a clearer picture of what My Online Business Education is about and you would be able to make a more wiser decision. Is my online business education a scam

Name: My Online Business Education (MOBE)

Website: www.mobe.com

Owner: Matt Lloyd

Price: $19/month, $49 + Many Upsells

Rating: 9/100

What is MOBE about?

This is what exactly MOBE says in their website,

“MOBE (My Online Business Education) is a marketing and business training company catering to small business owners and entrepreneurs. We offer a large selection of online training products, services, live training events and exclusive masterminds to help you along your business journey.”

However, this is only one┬áside of the story…

Let me get this straight, your main purpose for joining MOBE will be to learn to how build your own business online or improve your current business. But the truth is you aren’t going to learn exactly what you come for at the first place.

I don’t want to beat around the bush, I will get straight to the point. MOBE is just like any other Multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes where they drag you into buying their products to gain the license before you can start promoting these exacts products to someone else.

What’s worst? These products are not as cheap as you think, they are easily worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.

At the end of the day, you are doing something totally unrelated to your initial reason of joining MOBE. Instead of learning of to build your own niche based business or promoting your current business you will be taught how to promote their expensive and low-valued products to others.

Unfortunately, most of the people who join do not know exactly what they are getting themselves into.

What are the Good & Bad of MOBE

Good

  • The trainings found in MOBE are seem to be average. I won’t really say they are good because for the price you are paying these trainings should be far better than the others.
  • The commissions are very good 50%~90%. According to their website, you earn from $4.95 ~ $13,500 per sale by introducing products and services to others.

Bad

  • Instead of learning to build/improve your own business, you are actually “forced” to promote MOBE’s products
  • Almost all the products found in MOBE are very pricey. Some of the information can actually be found at a much lower price or even for free.
  • Too many upsells in the entire website, whichever product or page you land into has┬áprice tags.┬áHonestly, we all have the thinking that when we sign up for their membership we have access to everything inside the website. However, that’s not the case… Within the membership you still are expected to buy products.
  • You do not have any refund or money back guarantee for almost all the products
  • This is a high risk gamble, under their “income disclaimer” they mentioned that not necessary everyone will make money using this and also claimed some of their students never made any money.
  • Poor customer support, they claimed to get back within 36 hours. But usually that’s not the case, it is much longer. Honestly, even 36 hours is a very long time, paying such a high price and the efficiency of the support is not matched with the price. So someone has to wait for such a long time for he get a response? This might stall his/her progress…
  • Their personal coaching’s main focus is not to help you, but to encourage you to purchase the MOBE license.

Matt Lloyd was never honest…

mobe review

Matt’s top selling program was the My Top Tier Business which was a 21 steps program that claims you will learn how to earn big commission by selling high ticket products.

This program is focused on Matt teaching you how to leverage on his business model so that you can make large commissions.

The price for this product is a one time payment of $49. Like everyone else I thought that I will be able to make huge commissions after this, but I was wrong.

Once you go to step 6 of the 21step program, Matt encourages you to purchase his $1,997 MOBE licensing if you want to have any chances of making good money.

Honestly, I was very disappointed… all these weren’t mentioned in the first place. Everything was scripted perfectly(well time & planned), so that you are in a deciding stage of buying his license. Obviously, I didn’t buy because I already knew he was up to something no good.

But what I am trying to say here is that, newbies who just joins are mislead into buying the useless products. Most people have a mind set that when you buy this expensive license or any product you will definitely make high commissions with it. That’s B.S., it doesn’t work that way.

At the end of the day, there is no refund for the $1,997 and you are on the losing end. You would have know that Matt also made a bold claim of $500 refund if you never make money within the first 30days. However, he mentioned that you have to prove that you followed his ground rules in order to qualify which I think is not fair.

How on earth will someone be able to prove?

If you are interested to know more about Matt’s 21-steps program you can check out here.

Why would you want to spend so much money when you have no guarantee that you will actually make money. Want to learn to start making money through online business, step by step trainings. You can get the basic trainings for FREE and if you are ready to go to the advance level is only $49 per month.

Time for the Real Prices

I’m going to reveal all the prices of his upsells, if you are not careful you can be actually sucked into buying over FIFTY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of products.

Like I mentioned earlier, if you want to promote all their products and earn the commissions they mentioned you are to actually purchase all of these products first to get the “rights”

I will begin with some of the 90% commission products:

  • Affiliate Bonus Domination – $291
  • Inner circle membership – $97/month
  • MOBE Elite Earners – $97/month
  • Done for you Emails – $97/month
  • Funded Proposal – $194
  • OPT formula – $194
  • My Email Marketing Empire – $194
  • IM Revolution Handbook – $9.95

Ok now for the 50% commission products(Take note: These products are more expensive than the 90%, SNEAKY!)

  • Diamond Mastermind – $30,000
  • Platinum Mastermind – $16,667
  • Titanium Mastermind – $9,997
  • Diamond Coaching Program -$4,997
  • 10,000 leads in 100 days – $1,997
  • The 90 days challenge – $997
  • Six Figure Coaching Secrets – $997
  • Add the Nitrous -$997

The products/programs/services mentioned above are not everything found in MOBE, there are still many. But just to give you a rough idea of what you are going to get yourself into if you are not careful, don’t forget you paid $49 + additional $1,997 prior to this.

Monthly Fee – $291

MOBE license – $1,997

Other 50% & 90% commission products – About $67, 500

All these Add ups to almost $70,000 and weirdly there are many more to come. Like I said, you started with $49 then this money will continue to rise and rise.

WHY?

Because they will tell you, if you want to make the commissions like what they have mentioned… you need to promote all these very high ticket products.

Honestly, I believe you can use this money for something much better than this. Ask yourself, do you think it is worth it, to spend so much money just to promote this products.

Think about this, what makes you so sure they are many people out there willing to buy all these products. Come on man, who the hell wants to pay 30 grand for some membership, you can use that money to buy a car or even renovate your house. Common sense will tell you this is something you should stay away from, but there are bound to be a few people who will be blinded by these numbers(commissions) and fall into this trap.

If you are someone making millions of dollars every year, than gambling on these wouldn’t hurt. But if you are a newbie trying to make some money online this is definitely something that you should avoid. Instead of spending so much money on this, think about this.

In Wealthy Affiliate(Online business training platform),you can have a free starter account where you will earn the basics of building an online business and once you are comfortable and ready to take it to the next level you can upgrade to premium membership which is $47 per month or $359 per year.

As you can see, you are only spending less than one percent of what you would be spending at MOBE.

Final thoughts…

I hope you understood by now that the main reason why My Online Business Education actually rebranded their name. It seems that their money scamming trend is going to continue after all. This is what likely to happen, once their reputation drops again they are just going to rebrand over and over again.

At the end of the day, the people who try to promote the products are the ones losing out! The only person who is happily filling his pocket is the owner himself Matt Lloyd.

If you don’t have the money to spare, then stay far away from MOBE. Why put yourself in debt with banks just to purchase a product that has no guarantee than you will succeed. I bet you are better of doing something else, we are all actually more capable than what we think. Never try to find the easy way out!, because the easy way isn’t always the safest way.

Verdict

Scam
