This review is going to be on a website called Do You Bake. What is Do You Bake? Is it a legitimate business opportunity or a scam? Can you really make a living out of it? Is it worth for you to get involved or who is it really for? These are some of the questions that this review will be the focus on.

So without further ado, let’s dive into the actual review itself.

Do You Bake Company Overview

Before I go on, I just wanted to let you know that I am not in any way, shape or form affiliated with Do You Bake and this is a completely unbiased review of the Do You Bake products and most particularly, the Do You Bake business program.

Do You Bake was co-founded in 2010 by Jenn Williams and another individual. It seems as though the other chose to be anonymous, for whatever reason it may be, because I couldn’t find any information about him/her online.

Jenn Williams is also quite low profiled because I couldn’t find any other information about her elsewhere too.

Besides the lack of information about those running the company, it is clear that the company is still seeing success even after 6 years, which is great.

In January 2015, they also launched a sister brand called “Crave it”. Basically, this new brand also falls under the same roof so there isn’t a separate website for it. You have the option to either promote “Do You Bake”, “Crave it” or both of them at one go because they share the same compensation plan.

Speaking of the compensation plan, I will be going into more details about their compensation plan later on in my review. I believe most of you are looking forward to that, am I right?

Alright, for now, let’s move on to the next section…

Who is Do You Bake for?

According to their website, Do You Bake is catered more towards stay at home moms and stay at home dads. Basically, it’s for anyone who wants to start a home based business. The idea of working from home is great, whether it’s to spend more time with your family or simply to have the freedom to do whatever you want without having forced to stick to a specific work schedule.

But one thing you should take note is that this opportunity will not be suitable for most people, simply because of the MLM business model. In order to see any level of success, you need to be constantly working your butts off to find people to sell your products and also recruit people to join your team.

If you have very little experience in marketing, “persuading” people is going to be an uphill task for you. What most people who join any MLM types businesses do is immediately go towards their family members, relatives, and friends and ask them to either buy the products or join their team.

Of course, it’s not wrong because everyone of them is a potential buyer or team member. But you should realize that there is only a limit to how much you can promote to these people and how wide is your circle of people you know. What’s going to happen when you become short of ideas on who to promote next. This is where most people is going to start to lose hope and will eventually throw in the towel.

MLM is not a one-off thing that once you find a few people, you will start to make passive income without many efforts. NO. You have to keep working for it, if you want to see any form of success in this business, that is why I don’t really recommend to anyone.

Honestly, only a small fraction of people really succeed in this. These are the ones who have real passion and drive to succeed. If you are someone who goes in half-heartedly or says “let’s try and see how it goes”, you, my friend are destined to failure right from the bat.

I’m not telling you this to discourage you. I’m stating the facts of what happens to the majority of the people who gets involved in MLM type opportunities.

Years back, I was involved in Herbalife myself. Back then I had very little knowledge about starting a business but just wanted to give it a try. Long story short, I ended up consuming most of the products myself(they were quite tasty though) and went on a loss.

Do You Bake Products

There are lots of different products for you to choose from. Looking for Breakfast products, lunch, Dinner or even on the go snacks? You can find them all here.

They have definitely been working on providing new and different food recipes for the customers.

I wouldn’t really say that their food is really very expensive, a better way to say it might be, slightly above average. Of course, since this is an MLM type business, you should expect this kind of slightly overpriced products because the extra profit margin is required to accommodate the members who are involved.

Just to give you a heads up on what are the prices like, I will list a few food products for you here:

  • Classic Beer Bread – $6.95
  • 4 Cheese Nacho Seasoning & dip – $8.95
  • Double Chocolate Chip Cookies – $8.50
  • Greek Gusto Salad Dressing Mix -$6.25
  • Breakfast Belgian Waffles – $8.50
  • Indian Styled pulled pork – $8.95

If you look carefully, you will notice that most of their products fall within the $6 to $9 category. Which seems fairly OK, if you ask me. They also do have some products that cost over $10 too.

So now, the BIG question. Why is the company different than most of the other food companies out there?

According to their website, that they do not use any chemicals, additives, fillers or coloring to their food which is definitely a plus point and not forgetting their food really looks tasty 🙂

Do You Bake Compensation Plan

Quite strangely, Do You Bake official website didn’t provide a full compensation plan of their business. I had to do some research and get information from other websites.

#1: To Get Started

You would need to get one of their starter kits

  • Start it My Way – $0, Free
  • Just a Taste Start Up Kit – $49.95
  • Crave it Start Up Kit – $69.95
  • Extreme Baker Start Up Kit – $185.00

The “Start it My Way” starter kit is only to get you started. If you are going to move forward you eventually will still have to purchase any of their paid start up kits which provided with added tools, information, and products.

#2: Detailed Plan

As an Ambassador(which you will become immediately once you become part of their program) you will be able to earn up to 37% commissions on all personal sales.

However, in order to earn from your downline, you will be required to have at least 3 personally sponsored ambassadors and you personally need to make sales of at least $51 in any given month.

As a leader, you are also able to earn up to 13% as a Team Bonus of Gross Wholesale Volume(GWV) from all your team sales.

The Pros & Cons of Do You Bake

  • Good Product
  • Decent Compensation Plan
  • Company is legit and around for over 6 years
  • Not too costly to get started

  • Simply because it’s MLM
  • Lack of information on their website
  • Requires 3 personal sponsored Ambassador in order to earn from downline

My Final Thoughts.

Apart from many other MLM type opportunities, I feel that this one is far more straight forward and simple to work with because with are dealing with the food here. If you are someone who is into food and home parties, this opportunity might be very suitable for you.

Having said that, that doesn’t mean that you will definitely succeed in it. It just increases the chances of you succeeding simply because you are doing something you are passionate about.

If you think you are someone who is not comfortable with direct sales and recruiting people, then I will suggest that you don’t get involved in such opportunity because you will have to go around and look and meet people in order for you to grow your business.

Final Verdict: Legit, but Not Recommended

I have been involved in making money online for over a year now, and the program that I use doesn’t require you to step out of your house and sell or recruit anybody. Everything is done through the comfort of your own home. And the best part is the start up cost is very low and you can almost get started instantly.
