I will be doing a review on InboxDollars to share the truth about this platform. Some people say it is a good opportunity to earn money online while others say it is a scam. So who is telling the truth? We will find out soon…
Personally, I have tried out InboxDollars myself and I have to say… it wasn’t really my cup of tea because the potential amount of money that can be made is very little.
Ask yourself this question, are you willing to substitute hours and hours of your time just to earn a few bucks?
I believe majority of you guys will firmly answer No. That’s right, almost all of us wants to make lots of money as quickly as possible…not sit around just to earn pennies.
Honestly, there are much better opportunities to make money online. For those of you who wants to make REAL money, I suggest you to take a look at the exact platform I use to make me over $3000 every month.

What is InboxDollars about?
InboxDollars is a website that allows you to earn some extra cash by completing simple tasks such as playing games, completing surveys, reading emails and so on…
InboxDollars is free to join and it only takes about a minute to sign up. Upon signing up you will also receive a $5 starter bonus for trying out their service. However, you are not able to withdraw this $5 immediately. They have a $30 cash-out policy, in other words you can only request for payment once you have earned at least $30.
You maybe wondering, I already got $5 literally without doing anything… how hard can it be to make another $25?
You are wrong my friend, it is definitely not as easy as you might think it is. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it may take up to half a year or even longer for you to reach that amount. Each tasks may pay you anywhere between $0.01 -$0.50, how much you earn depends on how time consuming is that particular task.
It’s not really a big deal if you end up spending like 1 hour just to earn $0.50 or so… I have experienced it myself, I was trying pre-surveys for almost an hour because I didn’t qualify for any of the actual paid surveys. When I finally qualified for that particular survey I only made like $0.50 from it… but the time I spent was almost an hour.
You can also earn money by referring people to this website, you will get 10% of the overall earnings. For e.g. if your referral made $30, you will get a $3 commission. But the problem with referrals is they have to be actively participating…if not it’s as good as nothing.
What I liked…
#1: Free to try
To be honest, there’s nothing much I liked about InboxDollars expect the fact that it was free to try. I don’t really fancy it but this might be very useful for people who has lots of time to spare.
What I didn’t like…
#1: Geographical location dependent
One of the things that I didn’t really like about InboxDollars is that the country you live in plays a very important role in how fast and how much money you can earn.
When creating your account, you will be asked to select the country you are from. Ideally, when you see your country listed there you would think you are eligible for this platform. Yes you are eligible however, you should know that not everyone will get equal amount of opportunities.
What do I mean by this?
Paid surveys, emails and offers are greatly dependent on your geographical location. In other words, if the tasks are not catered for your geographical location than you will not be able to do.
InboxDollars is more suited to those living in the U.S or Canada, hence they will get more opportunities. People who are not living in those countries, like myself will have fewer opportunities to complete surveys and offers thus we will not be able to earn as much money.
#2: You are encouraged to sign up to a lot of stuffs
(A) The problem with InboxDollars is the opportunities to make money within the platform is very limited. So in order for you to make money more quickly, you are actually encouraged to sign up with other stuffs outside InboxDollars.
Before I go on any further, just want to ask you a very important question… Did you know that websites can actually earn money by selling your personal information to other companies?
For those of you who didn’t know that, let me tell you… it is very common nowadays. For e.g. when before you qualify for a survey you will be required to include you zip code, address, email and so on.. These information will be sold to market research companies, who will then spam your email with related products. – Hoping you will by those products
Honestly, I don’t like giving out my personal information because it just makes me feel more insecure. Imagines thousands of companies knowing your personal details such as your name, contact number, which place you live in and so on…it just doesn’t seem right. These is one of the main reasons why I never liked to participate in those paid surveys and offers. If you ask me, giving out personal information in-return for pennies is really not worth the dough.
(B) I also wanted to mention that if you are not careful you could end up paying money for expired trials and so on… Do you think InboxDollars is stupid to just give out free money to their members, there is always a catch. InboxDollars actually earns commissions for sending their members to other websites and trying out things.
Let me give you a good example,
When you click on the “games” tab, you will come to a page which will eventually direct you to a third-party website which is called GSN cash games. Here you can earn rewards points which can be later exchanged for gift cards. However, before you can earn more reward points you are “forced” to upgrade the account which requires to spend your real money.
It doesn’t end there… what’s worst is if you are not active for a certain period of time, they will continue to charge you money. This happens to a lot of people because they do not have the habit of reading the terms and conditions. If you are no careful you can end up paying of hundreds and thousands of dollars for no reason.
#3: Lots of Complaints…
Initially I thought that InboxDollars is actually a legit site and not a scam. But looking at some of the complaints actually make me think otherwise.
Some people said that once they reached the $25 mark, they started receiving very little tasks.
There were also complaints that once they request for payment, their accounts were frozen and removed for no reasons.
They are many more complaints like this. Some people will definitely disagree to this, saying “InboxDollars is legit, they paid me”… If you ask me, I would say that InboxDollars is selective in paying their members. They randomly choose who they want to pay and who they don’t want.
This is definitely very disappointing. There are people who spend lots of effort and time into this, at the end to just to realise that they will not get paid?
My Final thoughts…
My take on InboxDollars is, it is definitely a scam. InboxDollars seemed to have a good reputation in this industry but looking at some of their actions such as selectively paying members immediately tarnishes any positive reviews about them.
Anyway the amount of money you are going to make is already very little and knowing the fact that there is no guarantee that you might even be able to cash out after you reach the minimum withdrawal limits just makes things more worst. Hence, I would suggest you to stay far away from InboxDollars.
Regardless of how much effort and time you are willing to spend on InboxDollars, you will never be able to make a proper living out of it. You definitely will be better off doing something else. For those of you who are still keen in making money online, I strongly suggest you to try out online marketing. The potential amount of money you can make from online marketing is far greater than what you get from InboxDollars.
As an online marketer:
- You promote products and earn commissions from them
- You can build an online marketing business based on your passion or hobby
- There are over millions of products you can promote and the best thing is that you do not need to physically own any of the products you want to promote
- This is not a “get rich scheme, so don’t expect to makes tons of money overnight
- You are promoting worldwide, not only in the particular country you are staying in
- Hence, you have greater opportunities = more sales = more commissions = more revenue
Just to share some statistics with you, there are over 3 billion internet users in the world. If you can just target a very small fraction of these people, you would definitely be able to earn way more than what you are earning from a 9-5 job.
Being an online marketer is not very difficult but it definitely requires you to have proper education and training if you want to be very successful. You can check out my No.1 Recommendation program which offer step-by-step training from scratch on becoming an online marketer.
The good thing is, you can try this program for absolutely free with no credit card details required. I would definitely encourage everyone of you to try it because there is literally nothing to lose. If at anytime you feel that this is useless to you, you can choose not to continue anymore… there is no obligations.
