My Home Job Search Overview

I haven’t heard of till a couple of days back when I saw quite a number of people actually promoting this on social media. I didn’t know what exactly was all the hype about, but I just had to check it out because some of the earning claims they made were intriguing.

As for myself, I am already running several online businesses but have always been on the lookout for those odd online jobs that I can do on my spare time to further increase my earning. I came into this site with a lot of expectation, but I have to say, I was left disappointed.

One glance at the entire site, I already understood that something isn’t right and it seems more like a scam. Some might say you can’t always judge a book by its cover. So, I decided to create a free account with them to see where it takes me.

Well, after checking out the site thoroughly, I can strongly confirm that this site is nothing but a scam. Of course, I don’t just go around labeling them as scams for no reason. I did gather quite a few pieces of evidence to support my strong statement which I will share with all of you later.

What Exactly is My Home Job Search about?

My Home Job Search is a website that has a database of different work from home jobs. Members of this site will have access to a variety of job offers depending on their personal preference.

According to their website, they claim that is the world’s #1 website for getting work from home jobs and you can get a job that pays you anywhere between $14 to $56 per hour.

Although it is free to join, you are actually recommended to upgrade your account to their platinum membership. The reason they gave was, it will help you stand out from the rest of the free members and thus be able to get a high paying job in a short period of time. The original price for the membership is said to be $99 but if you upgrade “today”, you will be getting a $60 discount thus you only have to pay $29.

I know some of you will be thinking right now, that this is a good bargain and a one-time opportunity that shouldn’t be missed. Well, hold on a minute. Don’t get too excited yet. I have yet to disclose the truth about My Home Job Search. I’m very sure that your impression on them will totally switch after you learn more about them.

Inside the Member’s Area…

As you can see from the above image, that is how your member’s area will look. I chose not to upgrade my account a proceed. You will notice that some of the sections have been locked. Yes, these are only accessible to those platinum members. If you click on those, a pop-up will appear on your screen asking you to upgrade.

So, how about the other sections where you are able to access as a free member? Are they any good?

Frankly speaking, they aren’t any good at all. They are just there to make up the numbers if you ask me. Some of the products they are promoting are actually scams and will also cost you money. Basically, those have been linked with their affiliate IDs. When you click on those and make a purchase, they will earn commissions.

The paid surveys and paid to surf companies they recommend are also nothing to be fancy about. Sites like Global Test Market, Toluna USA, Cash Crate, Swag bucks and etc. can be found even without joining this site. Just do a simple Google search on Paid survey or surfing companies and these sites will appear.

Another thing to take note off… You won’t be able to make hundreds of dollars per survey like that claimed on their site. That’s totally bullshit. Most of these paid surveys and offers only pay you pennies which doesn’t really justify the time spent.

Some Red-Flags Worth Mentioning

(1) Fake Job Searcher

On their homepage, you will notice this job searcher. Basically, you enter you “zip code” to see what work from home jobs are available for you area. To be honest, this searcher doesn’t even work. You can even enter alphabets and it will still search for you.

It’s only there for the sake of it and to make it look legit. It doesn’t work in real-time nor it does make any search.

(2) The owner is fake too

Our dear friend here who goes by the name of “Michael Anderson”, claims to be the owner and founder of this company MyHomeJobSearch. This image here is actually a stock photo. It has been widely used in different websites. You can just do a simple Google image search and you would be able to see a list of some of the sites where the photos area used.

Here as some that’s I took from different sites…

You would have notice that on all of these images different names were used. These aren’t his actual names. Probably some pen name.

(3) Fake claims of appearing on news

If you watch the video presentation, you would have seen them saying that because of MyHomeJobSearch appearing on different news channels, many people have joined as free members. So to be able to get a job in a short period of time, you will have to upgrade.

Basically, this whole claim of appearing on news is a lie! You can go search on some of this sites such as BBC NEWS, Forbes, and etc. and you will never see a single news article on any of them with regards to this site.

The idea of this fake claim is to make you think that this site is well-known so that you will trust them and put your money on it.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see a disclaimer that says that they are not affiliated with any of the sites mentioned on their website.

(4) Testimonials are nothing but Stock Photos too

When you thought that things couldn’t get any worst…

Yea, the testimonials you see on their website are fake too. They aren’t real members who have tried this site for themselves. It’s more like the real owner of this website bought those stock photos and made up those words on his own.

Well, there are more from where this came from. But, I don’t think it would be necessary for me to show you every single one of them because some of the images above are enough to conclude that MyHomeJobSearch is nothing but a fake job search site.

So is a Scam?

Yes, it is definitely a scam. I recommend that all of you stay away from this. The fact that they misled people right from the get-go is disappointing. Nothing about this site is legit. Some of the “free” opportunities they include on their site is somewhat legit but even then the claims of making hundreds in a short space of time are ridiculous.

Completing paid surveys is not even considered a job opportunity in my opinion. It’s more for people who don’t my earning some extra income in their spare time.

The whole intention behind this site is so that the owner can pocket himself a huge paycheck whenever members upgrade their accounts. I don’t think you will get any legit job opportunities even after paying the $29 one time fee. Who knows, maybe the person goes on to recommend job sites that you can already find online for free with a simple Google search.

Final Verdict: Scam, Not Recommended

Safe & Solid Way To Make Money Online?

For those of you who are keen in generating good income online, I highly recommend that you start your own online business. This is a really safe and solid opportunity because you don’t depend on anybody but yourself. You don’t have to worry about getting scammed

So… what do I mean by online business?

There are many ways of running your very own online business. Selling your own products or running an e-commerce store are a few I can list from the top of my head. But the one that I have personally tried and am talking about is called Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing means promoting someone else’s products/services and earn commissions from it. There are countless of benefits for this approach which is the reason why I really love it.

Some of them include…

  • You don’t need a huge capital to start
  • Can be done from the comfort of your own home
  • No need to physically get in contact with anyone. Everything is done through the internet.
  • You don’t have to worry about what products to sell or storage space to put your products
  • Definitely has more potential to make money compared to many other sites online

It’s really not difficult to get started. All you need is an interest or passion. If you have one, you can build a business around it. I have been doing this for just over a year and have seen more than just great success with it. This opportunity has allowed me to quit my day job and run this entirely from home and the best part…? My income is almost 3 times of what I earned in the corporate world.

Though it is nice to hear… I have to tell you that this didn’t happen overnight. I have put in a great amount of effort to make this work. If you are expecting to make tons of money within a week or month, sorry, this isn’t something for you. You have to put in the effort and give yourself enough time to see success in this.

I know some of you might be thinking right now, how do I get started without any proper understanding or knowledge about Affiliate Marketing & starting an online business. Don’t worry, I have got you covered. I have been using this program called Wealthy Affiliate. It’s an online training platform that teaches you from scratch to building an affiliate marketing business.

If you are interested to find out more, you can check my review on it…

Alright, I have come to the end of my review on I do hope by now you have a better understanding of what it is all about and whether it is something you want to take part in. Hey, I'm Kumar and thanks for dropping by. About a year ago, I was struggling hard to cope with my 9-5 job but now I have quit and started working fulltime from home as an online marketer. The purpose of my website is to help you do the same too. My goal is always to be my own boss and work for myself and I have definitely achieved that. If you want to follow my footstep and start earning money from your own home then you should check out My #1 Recommended Program .

  1. Thanks for the information here, Kumar. Very insightful and informative. I sure am going to check on all these businesses from now on (if indeed I even look into any anymore) to see if there are ANY legitimate companies out there any longer! Keep up the good work! I’ll be checking the information you provided here. Perhaps I can find something that isn’t a waste of my time and money somehow, somewhere on the internet

  2. It is impossible to find legit work from home companys. Thank you for the information on this site, it is appreciated.

    • You’re welcome Robert. As I have already mentioned, the only thing that I am currently working on is Affiliate Marketing. Most of other opportunities are either scams or just pay out too little.

  3. Thank you, Kumar.

I appreciate your time and effort to curb these predators who are cashing in on folks just trying to support they’re families. Kudos on you!

  4. Hi, I just joined the work from home and after I read your review on it, I wished I didn’t joined. How can I cancel. I used a debit card but they did not take $29 out cause I told them I had no bank account, in which I lied cause I wanted to see what they were about, and now thanks to you, I know. I will check out your site.

    • Hi Carol,

If you didn’t really pay then I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Thankfully, you didn’t becuase it’s nothing but a scam. Take care!

  5. the web site is a snake pit, be prepared to be bitten, when you fill in the blanks you set yourself up for an onslaught of SPAM and incessant telemarkeing calls and texts, and it never stops, even if you tell the site to stop it, you DO NOT want to go in there…
