This review is going to be about a website called Surfing Projects. What is Surfing Projects? Is it a scam? Or a legitimate opportunity for you to make money online? Is it worth investing money and time into a site like this? These are some of the questions that I will be focusing on in this short review.
Alright without further ado, let’s get things rolling…
Name: Surfing Projects
Price: Free to join. To take part in Rev share, Min. $5
What is Surfing Projects all about?
Surfing Projects is an advertising platform where business/website owners can leverage on to drive traffic to their products or services.
Apart from that, they also have a revenue sharing program in place where anyone can take part to make money. Basically, you will have to purchase adpacks from them in order to qualify for the revenue sharing.
How Does it Exactly Work?
The idea of how revenue sharing works is very straightforward. As you can see from the image above, they have 3 different adpack plans. The more expensive the plan, the more money you could potentially make. All you have to do is purchase one of these Ad packs and click on 10 ads daily to qualify for the revenue sharing.
Some of you might be wondering what’s the surf ad credits for? Well, it’s catered for those who have something to advertise. If you are one of those just around to make some money through the revenue sharing, you can totally ignore those.
Are there any Risks Associated?
Before jumping with both your feet in, it is necessary that you understand the risks of participating in such opportunity.
For those of you who didn’t know, revenue sharing business model revolves around sales. Meaning, if little sales are made for the day, you could end up making little profits.
In worst cases, if no sales are made at all, you could go without making a single money for that day. So you should understand that purchasing ad packs don’t guarantee you any money. Everything depends on how successful the profits are coming in for the site. If no profits are made, Surfing Projects has nothing to share with you.
The accumulation of poor advertising sales is the one that leads to tons of complaints from members for not getting paid, and eventually leading the site to crash. I have personally experienced this several times, so I know exactly how it feels.
Initially, when the website is just launched, lots of new members will be joining and buying ad packs. This will lead to revenue being shared without fail daily. As time goes by, as lesser and lesser members join and purchase these packs, this is where problems start to happen.
The most successful revenue sharing site I have stayed with, paid without fail for 6 months. The rest crashed out within 3 or 4 months.
Other Ways to earn with Surfing Projects?
If you are one of those doesn’t have money to fork out, you still will be able to make some lucrative income with surfing projects. Basically, all you have to do is refer someone to this website. Unfortunately, you don’t make money just for referring someone. You will get paid a small commission of 10% whenever your referral purchases any of the product/services here.
For e.g. if you referral purchases the most expensive Ad pack plan, which is $20… you will make $2 commissions from it. Frankly speaking, it isn’t that much, but it definitely could give you some additional income to spend monthly if you might need.
So is Surfing Projects a scam?
I know some of you might be thinking right, so is surfing projects a scam?
Well… at the moment, it seems to be legit. People are getting paid but as mentioned earlier, this is simply because the site is just launched recently. I won’t be surprised if we start having complaints or issues 2 to 3 months down the road.
A smart move would be to capitalize on this opportunity while they are still new. Even then I wouldn’t guarantee you anything. Just keep in mind that the risks are always there.
Is Surfing Projects for You?
For those of you who are considering to join Surfing Projects, you might want to read this and ask yourself a couple of question first.
Basically, if you got something to advertise, then surfing projects might be a good place for you. Or if you are good at recruiting people then you might also want to consider it.
If you are just someone who wants to stick around and participate in revenue sharing opportunity only, I wouldn’t really recommend it to you firstly because there are risks associated with it and furthermore, the earning potential isn’t really that great for anyone’s liking.
There are much better alternatives you could look into rather than wasting time participating in revenue sharing.
My Final Thoughts!
I’m never a big fan of revenue sharing sites because of my past experiences I had with them. You could choose to use my learning experience and move on or you could always try it for yourself and to have a feel of what it is exactly all about.
Either way, the decision is yours to make. So I will leave that for you to decide…
To sum up what I said earlier, revenue sharing simply isn’t for everyone. It’s more catered towards advertisers who want to make some money while promoting their websites.
Lastly, always keep in mind that whatever opportunity comes your way, always keep within your own limits. You should never put more money than you can afford to lose. We are in an online space, anything can happen and there is no one you can go to or blame but yourself.
Final Verdict: Legit, But Not Recommended
Safe & Solid Way To Make Money Online?
For those of you who are still keen in generating good income online, I highly recommend that you start your own online business. This is a really safe and solid opportunity because you don’t depend on anybody but yourself. You don’t have to worry about purchasing adpacks and not getting paid.
So… what do I mean by online business?
There are many ways of running your very own online business. Selling your own products or running an e-commerce store are a few I can list from the top of my head. But the one that I have personally tried and am talking about is called Affiliate Marketing.
Affiliate Marketing means promoting someone else’s products/services and earn commissions from it. There are countless of benefits for this approach which is the reason why I really love it.
Some of them include…
- You don’t need a huge capital to start
- Can be done from the comfort of your own home
- No need to physically get in contact with anyone. Everything is done through the internet.
- You don’t have to worry about what products to sell or storage space to put your products
- Definitely has more potential to make money compared to revenue sharing sites
It’s really not difficult to get started. All you need is an interest or passion. If you have one, you can build a business around it. I have been doing this for just over a year and have seen more than just great success with it. This opportunity has allowed me to quit my day job and run this entirely from home and the best part…? My income is almost 3 times of what I earned in the corporate world.
Though it is nice to hear… I have to tell you that this didn’t happen overnight. I have put in a great amount of effort to make this work. If you are expecting to make tons of money within a week or month, sorry, this isn’t something for you. You have to put in the effort and give yourself enough time to see success in this.
I know some of you might be thinking right now, how do I get started without any proper understanding or knowledge about Affiliate Marketing & starting an online business. Don’t worry, I have got you covered. I have been using this program called Wealthy Affiliate. It’s an online training platform that teaches you from scratch to building an affiliate marketing business.
